Week 7 MVPs

Christian “New Guy” Parker (Leafs) - New socks for New Guy this week and he didn’t disappoint! A last-minute snipe to break the goose egg and save a point!

Chris Wilson (Flyers) - Chris had a great game on defense this week, shutting down several attacks by the Leafs and also hustling on offence with some good rushes. Great game Chris!

Kristalee Owen (Rangers) – Kristalee drove the net hard all night, screening the goalie, looking for passes and rebounds while managing to stay out of the crease! Her hard work out front helped us get the game winning goal when she was tripped, causing a commotion out front that distracted the goalie! Great game Kristalee!

Simon Reeves (Ducks) – This dude is the hardest worker you’ve ever seen. Simon hustles his heart out every shift, never giving up on any play. His shot improves every week, and he is inches away from his first, sweet GHL goal. Keep at it Simon… it’s coming!

Mark Grecco (Sabres) - Tough game for the Sabres this week as the 3rd period got away from them and the Sharks took a commanding lead. Mark pretty much hustled his butt off all night and did what he could to keep the game close. Solid shift at Silks after the game as well.

Alex Mitchell (Sharks) - As an emergency defenseman, Alex played a great defensive game. He made sure the Sabres didn’t score when he was out there and even added 3 GHL points to boot.

Phil Bowman (Bruins) - Phil played a great game for the Bruins this last weekend. His solid and consistent defensive skills helped the Bruins bring in another win!

Shawn Hamilton (Canucks) - Shawn has been playing some great hockey this year. And on Saturday, he played another solid game. His offensive skills were just as impressive as his defensive game, sniping a ton of shots from the blue line to keep the Bruins goalie busy. Keep up the great work, Shawn!

Chester Lane (Canadiens) - It was a tough night for the Canadiens, but they didn't give up and kept fighting. Though we were kept off the scoresheet, Chester had a great game, and worked hard at the blue line throughout the game.

Angelo Procopio (Wings) - Angelo had the game of the season. Angelo got his first GHL goal and his first GHL hat trick in the same game.

Jay Berg (Penguins) - With a very short bench this week, everyone needed to step up. Jay had arguably his best game of his career this week and was on the ice for all 3 goals as the penguins and barely had the energy to celebrate at Silks ... though of course, he did have just enough to celebrate at Silks.

Angie Humphrey (Oilers) - This week Oilers were short on the bench played with only 3 defense. Angie played a strong game logging many minutes. She carried the puck well into the offensive zone. She was strong in our end as well. Great game Angie!
